Great work guys

These photos were taken last week at the same time the seal was visiting.  The incredible job our volunteer workers have done on the trail is now being realised. Hundred of hours along with several dedicated professionals who have given of their expertise and time very generously has given us results any fulltime trail builders would be proud to call their own.

New growth coming through beside the loop trail below the kiwifruit orchards. The birds in this area will appreciate the good work the many possum and rat traps are doing.

Storm Waters has made a huge contribution to this trail and worked many many more hours than he has been paid for. Without his expertise and the use of his machinery we would not have made such great progress.

Around the point and heading towards Duck Creek.

Once again lots of new growth along the final kilometre of the trail towards Duck Creek. One of the many bridges that have been built. Another year will make a huge difference so when you are walking the trail just remember how new and raw it all was and how much progress has been made in the last 12 months. Local groups have helped clear away debris and helped transplant young native shrubs .
